Pangji Hot Noodles

Rating: 9 out of 10

Address: No. 1 Hanjing Village, Yiyuan Road, Hankou, Jiangan District, Wuhan (open 24 hours)

In the evening, we came to Pangji Hot Noodles, which is a halal hot noodle restaurant. open 24 hours a day all year round, and it's said that even a lot of celebrities go there to eat.

Halal + no brine, tastes a bit like a refreshing version of Master Zhao! The noodles are smooth and refreshing to the extreme, oily but not greasy, not the slightest feeling of ordinary hot dry noodles sticky, like a stream of hot dry noodles. The side dish with a very special big head of cabbage, refreshing, delicious to smack your lips, after eating the existence of feeling that you can have another bowl! (This is not much in the hot dry noodles, after all, high calorie)

Noodles: moist and smooth

Seasoning: overall refreshing

Flavor: refreshing and fresh halal taste

The daily red oil Master Zhao's Hot Dry Noodles

Rating: 8.5 points

Address: 139 Grain Road Street, Wuchang District, Wuchang, China (close to Wuchang District Welfare Center)

The specialty of Master Zhao's house may be in the oil cake wrapped in siu mai rather than the hot dry noodles, although the hot dry noodles are also delicious ~ we lined up in batches and ordered hot dry noodles and oil cake wrapped in siu mai respectively. His hot dry noodles are yellow and oily overall, and when you bite into it, it's so good that it explodes! It took 5 minutes to line up and 30 seconds to finish! The sheer fresh aroma overflows the mouth; the roots are sinewy and smooth, the pickled bean curd is so refreshing and delicious, and the sesame sauce aroma is so strong.

Noodles: sinewy and smooth

Seasoning: fresh and fragrant, rich and mellow

Flavor: well-balanced seasoning, tasty

Hot noodle tastes so good that it is unbeatable and almost kills the other hot noodle stores, but it is beaten by its own fried cake wrapped in siu mai! There's no shame in that!

The deep-fried, crispy outside and tender inside of the oil cake shell is deliciously crispy, the soft and fresh shumai sauce is beautifully oozing with oil, and when you bite into it, the outside is crispy and the inside is tender, and we agreed that it's the best thing we've eaten in the last two years! We even went back in line the next day to eat it again!!!!

Evergreen Maixiangyuan Hot Noodles

Rating: 7 out of 10

If you don't want to look for a store specifically, you can go to the Evergreen Maixiangyuan chain! This store has been recommended by Zhihu before, and is said to be personally taught by Mr. Cai Hanwen, the eldest son of the founder of hot dry noodles, Cai Mingwei.

There's a huge variety of toppings to choose from, including cilantro, scallions, spicy radish, pickled bean curd, and garlic chili peppers. A spoonful of radish in the sauce, with the sesame sauce poured in before, mix well, a bowl of yellow, fragrant, steaming hot dry noodles is made. The downside is that the noodles are thin and not sinewy enough, and they dry out before you can mix them ~ but we've been pleasantly surprised that a chain store can do this flavor!

Noodles: overall thin, affecting the taste

Seasoning: moist color, fresh and tasty, rich in variety

Taste: more uniform flavor, the best in the chain

Yuanji Red Oil Hot Noodles

Rating: 8

Address: 177 Parrot Avenue, Hanyang District, Wuhan, China (don't miss it if you like spicy flavors!)

Lo's is one of the "Top Ten Hot Noodles in Wuhan", highly recommended by its owner, and is also a well-known local hot noodle store in Wuhan (first in the competition). After serving it, I was attracted by the bright color and was salivating. After sniffing the smell, it seems to have a spicy flavor? I asked the owner, and sure enough, he added peppercorns. The spicy flavor was very different from other hot dry noodle styles, more like Szechuan noodles, but it couldn't resist its deliciousness! The diced carrots in the noodles are chopped into tiny, even particles, so if you love spicy food, you can't miss this one! This one also sells out and closes around 10:30pm.

Noodles: normal level

Seasoning: Sichuan spicy, bright and appetizing

Flavor: the most spicy and tasty

Oil cake wrapped in siu mai aroma wafted ten miles, once overwhelmed the master Zhao's own hot dry noodles; "before you see his face, first smell its fragrance" of the dilapidated iron shed and fresh! The contrast between the hot dry noodles; moist and refreshing Pangji is a stream of clear water, directly refreshed our knowledge of hot dry noodles. Foodie pals who go to Wuhan, these five should not be missed!
