1From August 3 to 6, 990, Beyond lead singer Ka Kui Wong went to Papua New Guinea with Radio Television Hong Kong's "Love First Brigade" and witnessed the miserable life of the local people because of war and famine. After returning to Hongkong, Ka Kui Wong read the story of Mandela being trapped in prison in the newspaper, and his inner voice rang out from it.

Ka Kui Wong thinks that Mandela's spiritual connotation is about struggle and hope, which coincides with Beyond's hard work in Hongkong, so Ka Kui Wong wrote the song days of our lives.
