Enamel tableware is not suitable for microwave oven heating, because enamel tableware is a composite material made of inorganic glass material which is melted and solidified on the base metal and firmly combined with the metal. When the metal material inside is heated, it will generate electric sparks and reflect the microwave oven, which will damage the furnace body and will not make the food cooked.

Which containers can be heated in the microwave oven:

2. Ceramic microwave lunch boxes are generally divided into heat-resistant ceramics and ordinary ceramics. Pots, plates and other utensils made of heat-resistant ceramics are suitable for long-term use in microwave ovens, while ordinary ceramic utensils can only be used for short-term heating. It is particularly important to note that ceramic utensils containing gold and silver wires will spark when used in microwave ovens, so it is recommended not to use them.

3. Plastic microwave lunch boxes, all kinds of utensils made of polypropylene, polypropylene resin, composite polypropylene, polysulfone, etc., can be heated in the microwave oven with a temperature resistance above 120 degrees Celsius. Vessels made of PET resin and polyester materials can withstand temperatures above 220 degrees Celsius and can also be used for barbecues.

Note: It can be used in microwave oven for a short time in wet state. But if the time is long, the drying of the vessel will lead to over-combustion. These painted utensils are forbidden to be used in the microwave oven, because there is benzene in the paint, which will be emitted by microwave heating and pollute the food. Therefore, for the sake of safety and health, it is better to choose a microwave lunch box made of glass or ceramic.
