Its clinical symptoms are generally mild, and recessive infection and asymptomatic chronic hepatitis C are more common. 40% ~ 75% patients with acute hepatitis C are asymptomatic; The clinical manifestations of chronic hepatitis C depend on the severity of the disease, which can progress to cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Antiviral therapy is the only effective treatment. At present, oral direct antiviral drugs can achieve a virus clearance rate of 95%.

People with obvious symptoms and jaundice need rest, and they can exercise properly during the recovery period. Generally, isolation is not needed, but the development of the disease, such as body temperature, respiration, jaundice and liver function, should be detected daily.

The diet should be as light and digestible as possible, and not greasy. It is suggested to eat foods with high protein, low fat and high vitamins, but high nutrition should not be overemphasized to avoid fatty liver.
