What is bamboo shoots and how to grow them with high yield?
1. Appropriate selection: Bamboo forests must be operated in hilly areas where the temperature is not lower than-15℃ and the annual rainfall is 500-2,400 mm and 300-1000 m high. Bamboo forests with deep soil layer, loose texture and good drainage should be selected as the management objects. 2. Deep ploughing and waste disposal: Deep ploughing is generally carried out in winter, and the appropriate depth is 30 to 50 cm. When deep ploughing, we should try to avoid damaging bamboo shoots and buds, and at the same time, we should discard stones, roots, old bamboo shoots and other wastes that are not conducive to the growth of bamboo shoots. 3. Rational application of fertilizer: more nitrogen fertilizer should be applied at the stage of bamboo shoot emergence, leaf development and leaf change, leaf change fertilizer should be applied in summer and pregnant bamboo shoot fertilizer should be applied in winter. During the period from June to 10, we should apply whipping fertilizer three times more, and apply 750 kilograms of compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium per hectare in the middle of June; In early July, 35,000 kilograms of human excrement and urine were applied per hectare; In late August, calcium superphosphate and potassium sulfate 1000 kg were applied to each hectare of ditch. In the bamboo forest, a horizontal ditch is opened every 3 meters, with a width of 40 cm and a depth of 30 cm, and the soil is covered after fertilization. Whip bamboo shoots can be dug in the ditch in summer and autumn the following year.
