Dali, known as Tongzhou in ancient times, is located in the most open area in the eastern part of Guanzhong Plain. It governs 15 towns, 2 streets, 272 administrative villages and 26 communities. It is the largest county in Weinan City and the fourth most populous county. It is the east gate of Shaanxi and the sub-central city of Weinan.
