Ingredients
About 20 red dates, half a small bowl of brown sugar
200g white flour, 300g cornmeal
8g yeast, two teaspoons of white sugar< /p>
Adequate amount of 2 grams of alkaline noodles and warm water
How to make red date, brown sugar and cornmeal cake
1. Put cornmeal and white flour in a basin. Add brown sugar to warm water and stir into brown sugar water. The red dates are not too dry, so I wash them and use them directly. Put the yeast powder, sugar, and alkali flour into a small bowl, and dissolve with warm water of about 40 degrees and set aside.
2. Remove the core of the red dates
3. Cut the red dates into small pieces
4. Leave a few red dates
5. ?Put the remaining red date grains into a food processor, add a little water and beat into date puree.
6. Pour the beaten red date puree
7. Pour the yeast water and brown sugar water into the basin and mix it into a dough. My dough is relatively soft.
8. After the dough has fermented for an hour, you can see it has risen. Pour in the red date grains and date paste and knead evenly.
9. Knead evenly and make into small pancakes. Put it in the pot for secondary fermentation for half an hour, then steam over high heat. After steaming, medium heat for half an hour, then turn off the heat and simmer for five minutes.
10. The steamed cake is out of the oven. Use the fried shrimps as the center. Doesn’t it look like a flower? The taste is the same as the jujube cake sold outside, but with the addition of cornmeal, you can also eat whole grains.
