According to the provisions of the Special Equipment Catalog, steam boilers with a normal design water capacity of less than 30L and a steam pressure of 0.8MPa≤p<3.8MPa are not special equipment, do not need to be reported, and are exempt from annual inspection.

Steam boilers with a normal design water level and water volume of greater than or equal to 30 liters and a rated steam pressure of greater than or equal to 0.1MPa are special equipment and require supervision, approval, and a boiler certificate before they can be used.
