As a craft enthusiast, when it comes to making jewelry from materials at home, the first thing that comes to my mind is fabric and all types of thread.
Here we share with you a handmade necklace that is also very friendly to diy novices.
Figure 1: Finished product
The main material on this necklace was stripped from a gift wrapping, as a diy enthusiast all kinds of sturdy and nice looking threads I would hoard in a small box, hahaha.
Just add some small parts to them and you can turn them into treasure!
1. Materials needed: sharp-nosed pliers, scissors, black suede cord, extension chain, lobster clasp, open loop and a pair of horsey clasps.

2. First measure the neck to find the right length for you, cut two shorter black suede cords, and then cut two longer black suede cords. (The figures I took were 30cm and 57cm)

3. Straighten the two short cords and one long cord and put them into the horsey buckle. (Note that there are two short and one long!)

4. Use sharp-nosed pliers to tighten the buckle. (Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other end.)

This is the first time I've made a necklace that's both sweet and salty, and it's a great way to give new life to the old materials you've been using at home!
