Green sand fish, also known as green sardines. The body is flat and rectangular, generally long 10- 12cm, and the maximum length is 15cm. The head is short, the top of the head is flat, the kiss is shorter than or equal to the eye diameter, the eye is large, and there is a lipid membrane on the side. The mouth is small, the front is upper, and the lower jaw is slightly longer than the upper jaw. The maxilla is small, wide and serrated at the lower edge. There are good teeth on the upper jaw, upper jaw and tongue. The branchial foramen is very large, and the abdominal edge is serrated. The back is slightly convex, the abdominal margin is curved and convex, and the ventral fin is obviously smaller than the pectoral fin. The caudal fin is deeply forked. The back of the body is turquoise and the abdomen is silvery white. There are 1 black spots on the upper corner of gill cover.
