The "Three Treasures of Guizhou" refers to three unique products produced in Guizhou, namely lacquerware produced in Dafang County, Guizhou, Moutai liquor produced in Maotai Town, Renhuai County, and Xiaodi produced in Yuping County.
According to historical records, the production of Dafang lacquerware began during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years. During the period when Mrs. Shexiang, a female politician of the Yi ethnic group, attacked the Xuanwei envoy in Guizhou, among the "square objects" paid tribute to Zhu Yuanzhang, there were many lacquerware treasures.
