Tea Food
Tea food refers to the tea as the main ingredient or add tea food, common tea food green tea cake, sesame green tea cake, tea eggs, tea cakes, tea crisps and so on. The following are common tea food production methods:

1. Green tea cake

1) Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar and green tea powder.

2) Add water slowly and knead into a non-sticky dough.

3) Put the dough into the top drawer of a steamer and steam over high heat for 10-15 minutes.

2. Sesame Green Tea Cakes

1) Mix flour, sugar and baking powder, add milk and melted butter and stir well.

2) Add green tea powder, sesame paste and vanilla extract and continue to mix well to form a dough.

3) Roll out the dough into a round shape of medium thickness, gouge the shape with a mold and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

3. Tea Eggs

1) Break the eggs into a bowl and add a good amount of salt.

2) Boil a pot of tea and fish out the tea leaves and set aside.

3) Add the eggs to the boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.

4) Fish out the eggs, wrap them in tea leaves and put them back in the boiling water for another 5 minutes.

5) Remove the tea leaves and the tea eggs are ready to serve.

4. Tea Cakes

1) Mix glutinous rice flour and green tea powder, add boiling water and mix well to form a dough.

2) Knead the dough into a long strip about 5cm in diameter and cut it into small sections about 2cm wide.

3) Flatten the small segments into patties, and slowly fry them over medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides.

5. Tea Crisp

1) Mix medium gluten flour, sugar and green tea powder.

2) Add honey, molasses and cooking oil and knead into a dough.

3) Roll out the dough, cut into small pieces and press marks in the center with chopsticks.

4) Bake the small pieces until golden brown on both sides.
