Better raise it. Let it spit out sediment and the like, which is more hygienic and tastes good. If you want to eat it in a few days, I suggest you treat it like a hairy crab, buy it and put it in the refrigerator, put some water (there is usually a meat or vegetable freezer in the refrigerator) and keep it inside.
