1900, with the construction of the Middle East Railway, Russian businessman Yiya Lin Qiu established Lin Qiu Foreign Firm, one of the earliest transnational commercial enterprises in China, and brought the brewing technology of Gowasu and Quaker, a traditional beverage in his hometown, to Harbin, and named it Gowasu, Lin Qiu.
/kloc-At the end of 0/9, Gowasu was introduced to China. For the first time, the declining Russian aristocrats brought "квас" brewing technology to Central Asian countries, Heilongjiang in China, Ili Valley in Xinjiang, Altay and Tacheng. In the following 150 years, ethnic groups such as Russians, Uighurs, Kazakhs, Hui and Han in these areas, especially Yili, brewed "квас" in their own way.
They kept technical exchanges with each other, and finally developed "квас" into a national cultural drink with a strong western flavor. In Yili, "квас" has many names, such as Gewazi, kawas, Gowasu, local beer and so on.
