The jicama, also known as sago, cool potatoes, groundnut. Native to southern China, Mexico, Central and North America. It is more widely cultivated in Sichuan and Chongqing areas of China, Shaoxing Shengzhou City of Zhejiang Province and Taiwan Province.
Sweet potato belongs to the Fabaceae family, the cultivated species of the genus Sweet Potato that can form tuberous roots, annual or perennial twining herbaceous vines. The tuberous roots of sweet potatoes are fat, white and juicy, rich in sugar and protein, but also rich in vitamin C. It can be eaten raw, but also cooked.
The root system is strong, drought and barren tolerance.
