The drama tells the story of a courtesan, Luo Luo, who, with her courage, resourcefulness and flexibility, and broad-mindedness, resolves the difficulties up and down the court and eventually becomes Empress Xiaoyi Pure Empress, who helps Qianlong in his heyday.

Wei Luo (actress Wu Jianyan) is a princess and Empress of Filial Piety. Her personality is upright and sharp-witted. In order to investigate the death of her sister Lin Ning, she sneaked into the Forbidden City as a palace maid. She has been using Fu Heng to take revenge, but did not expect to have feelings with him.
