The ripening time of xuelihong depends on the planting time. Sherry red planted in July every year can grow and mature in1October, and Sherry red planted in September can grow and mature in the following spring.

The cultivation of snow red depends on the variety and edible requirements. Winter and spring types are generally planted in late September. Autumn varieties are planted in late July. Spring lasts from late February to late April.

Fertilizer and water management

Topdressing combined with watering, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, and appropriate application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can improve disease resistance and increase yield. After planting in the field, topdressing is started, usually three times, and the fertilizer is from light to thick.

After transplanting, apply a small amount of fertilizer to promote growth. In mid-February, 20kg ammonium bicarbonate and 20kg phosphate fertilizer were applied per mu, and 20 kg urea and 0/5 kg potassium fertilizer/kloc were applied per mu in mid-February. Increase or decrease as appropriate according to soil fertility and growth. Stop topdressing half a month before harvest to avoid excessive moisture and make the tissue solid and easy to process.
