"Catching Loach" is a children's song originally sung by Pao Mei Sheng.
"Catching Loach" is an original song sung by Bao Meisheng, with lyrics and music composed by Hou Dejian, the song is 2 minutes and 50 seconds long, and it was included in the album "Bao Meisheng's Song" in 1978 and "Reunion of Bao Meisheng" in 2002.
This is the first song written by Hou Dejian, a friend of Pao Mei-sheng's from the same village (they went to the same kindergarten as children, but did not know each other), who had never received any formal music education and wrote this song in a haphazard and effortless manner.
The first version of "Xiao Niu's Brother" was originally "Xiao Mao's Brother", and the Taiwanese authorities failed to pass it, so he casually changed it to "Xiao Niu's Brother". The song was passed. The song is full of fun and is one of Hou Dejian's few folk ballad-style works.
Lyrics to "Catching Loach"
The pond is full and the rain has stopped. In the thin mud at the edge of the field, there are loaches everywhere. I'm waiting for you to catch the loaches. Let's go and catch some loaches, okay, big brother? The calf's brother took him to catch loaches. The pond was full and the rain had stopped. The mud at the edge of the field is full of loaches. I'm waiting for you to catch loaches. Let's go and catch loaches, okay, big brother? The calf's brother took him to catch the loach.
The pond was full and the rain had stopped. The mud at the edge of the field is full of loaches.
The pond is full, the rain has stopped, and there are loaches everywhere in the mud. Let's go and catch some loaches, okay, big brother? The calf's brother took him to catch the loach, Big brother, will you let's catch the loach? The calf's brother took him to catch the loach. The big brother is not good, let's go catch the loach, big brother is not good, let's go catch the loach.
