The story of drinking Daughter Red instead of Carved Wine originated from a traditional custom in Shaoxing, China. According to legend, there was a famous tailor in Shaoxing in ancient times, and his wife was pregnant. The tailor was very happy. He brewed several jars of wine at home, buried them under osmanthus trees, and prepared to hold a big banquet for guests and friends after the baby was born. I didn't know that his wife gave birth to a daughter, which made the tailor feel very sad. So when his daughter had a full moon, none of the wine was taken out. Later, my daughter grew up and was very virtuous and filial. At her daughter's wedding, the tailor remembered the wine buried under the osmanthus tree more than ten years ago. So she dug them out and opened the jar, which was very delicious. Therefore, everyone calls it Daughter Red.
