Introduction of Violaceae
Violaceae is a family of Acanthopoda of Dicotyledonous Plants. Herbs, shrubs, rare trees. The leaves are mostly basal or alternate, and the shape of stipules is varied. Flowers are solitary or racemes, with radial symmetry or bilateral symmetry. Sepals and petals are both 5, and the lower petal often extends into a distance; Stamens 5, ovary superior, usually composed of 3 carpels, with 1 to several anatropous ovules. The fruit is a cracked capsule or berry. There are about 900 species in 22 genera, which are widely distributed all over the world, but mainly distributed in temperate, subtropical and tropical high-altitude mountainous areas.
