Ningxia wolfberry is a cultivated species of Lycium barbarum in the Solanaceae family, with the scientific name Lycium barbarum L., and is a perennial shrub or small tree. Also known as Western wolfberry and Zhongning wolfberry. It has been cultivated in China more than a thousand years ago. The most famous one is produced in Ningxia. The plant height is 1.62m. The fruit branches are scattered, and the vegetative branches are slightly upward and oblique, with thorns. Leaves are alternate or clustered, lanceolate or elliptical-lanceolate, entire, glabrous. Corolla funnel-shaped, lavender. The berries are mostly wide oval, red, orange or yellow. There are many seeds, flat kidney-shaped, brown-yellow. The flowering and fruiting period is from May to November. 4 Cultivation of Ningxia wolfberry

Cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant, fertilizer-tolerant, drought-tolerant, and afraid of waterlogging. Seedlings generally begin to bear fruit in two years, while seedlings from cuttings bear fruit in the same year. It enters the fruiting period after 56 years.
