Is tuna the same as tuna?
Tuna and tuna are actually two different names for the same fish. The official name of this fish is tuna, and "thunnus" is the transliteration of "Golden Gun", which comes from maguro in Japanese, so tuna is the same as tuna. Tuna is a large-scale pelagic food fish, belonging to the genus Thunnus of Perciformes. It is long, thick and round, streamlined, tapering backwards with a slender tail base and a forked or crescent-shaped tail fin. Tuna is mainly distributed in low and middle latitudes, such as the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. One of the most remarkable characteristics of tuna is that it must swim constantly to maintain its life. This is because the gill muscles of tuna have degenerated and forced it to pass continuously. Even at night, tuna will not stop swimming. This lifestyle gives tuna strong muscles and extremely high swimming speed, with an average speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour.
