What is senile plaque?
Age spots are not skin diseases, but benign tumors. The senile plaques are brown-black, and their diameters are mostly between 1mm- 10mm, with different sizes. The diameter of macula can reach 2-3cm, and most of them are not higher than skin. Some large spots (moles) can also be higher than the skin and flat. It is composed of lipofuscin pigment, which is common in the face, back of hand, calf, instep and trunk of the elderly. People used to call it "longevity spot", and medically called it senile pigmented spot (mole).

Senile spots exist not only in the skin, but also in the heart, blood vessels, liver and internal glands, which affect the normal functions of various organs. So senile plaque must not be taken lightly.

The appearance of senile plaque is a manifestation of the decline of cell function, which is formed by the accumulation of some wastes during cell metabolism. These wastes include amino acid residues of lipid peroxides and insoluble sludge formed by condensation of amino acids and other components. Go to a tertiary hospital for treatment.
