Chrysanthemums are short-sun plants that can only grow nutritionally during the spring and summer long-sun seasons. After autumn, as the weather turns cooler and the sunshine time shortens, it can only start flower bud differentiation, nurture flower buds, and open showy flowers by frost.

The chrysanthemum is highly adaptable to climate and soil conditions, and is cultivated all over China, and can grow in slightly acidic and alkaline soil. Small chrysanthemum cold tolerance than the big chrysanthemum, flowers through several severe frosts and do not wither. Temperature above 10℃ cryptic buds can sprout, 20 to 25℃ is the most suitable temperature for growth.
