Danggui Shaoyao Powder
Composition
Angelica 10g? Raw white peony 30g? Chuanxiong 6g? Atractylodes 12g? Poria 12g? Alisma 12g
Usage
Take as a decoction in water or as powder in wine.
Indications
Pregnant women and abdominal pain due to disharmony between the liver and spleen. Symptoms include tightness in the abdomen, continuous pain, difficulty in urination, and edema of the feet.
Experience on Fang Yi
The liver and spleen are the organs that transform essence and store blood. If the spleen is deficient, transportation and transformation will be incapable, and dampness will grow. If the liver is deficient, blood will not be stored and Qi will be lost. Qi Liu.
Sparse, spleen dampness is not stagnant. Therefore, "Danggui Shaoyao Powder" is used to harmonize the liver and spleen, nourish blood and promote dampness.
Blood is more valuable than harmony, more valuable than life, more valuable than nourishment. Dampness is better than dryness, better than benefit, and better than seepage. Therefore, this prescription uses angelica root, peony root, and Ligusticum chuanxiong root to harmonize with blood, nourish blood, and activate blood circulation to nourish liver deficiency; Atractylodes macrocephala, poria cocos, and Alisma are used to dry dampness, exude dampness, and diuretic dampness to strengthen the spleen. Furthermore, sake is introduced into the camp to warm the blood. Therefore, this prescription is a good prescription for nourishing blood, promoting dampness, and harmonizing the liver and spleen.
Clinical application
Habitual abortion
Example: Zhao xx, female, 24 years old. I had two miscarriages, and after my third pregnancy, there were signs of miscarriage again, so I asked Yu for diagnosis and treatment. The syndrome shows that the lower abdomen is distended and cold, and the lower abdomen is painful every night. This is due to blood deficiency and dampness stagnation. For a long time, the fetus is suppressed, affecting its development and causing miscarriage. Treat with Danggui Shaoyao Powder Decoction plus 6 grams of Sichuan pepper and 12 grams of donkey-hide gelatin (yyalinated), and instruct her to take two doses per month for five months before delivery and three doses per month after five months. The patient took the medicine as prescribed and was safely pregnant for more than nine months. She gave birth to a boy who is now six years old.
1. Treatment of polyhydramnios in pregnant women
Example: Tian x, female, 34 years old, after pregnancy, the fetus was less than five months old, the abdomen was large and heavy, the lower limbs were swollen, and movement was inconvenient. As if the pregnancy is at the end of the month, there is a dull pain in the lower abdomen and uneasy fetal movement. The gynecological diagnosis was: polyhydramnios, and she was asked to pay attention to nutrition and take vitamins regularly. Later, I found Yu for diagnosis and treatment, and found that the entire abdomen was distended but not hard, and had smooth fluctuations. This is not because the fetus is large, but because of polyhydramnios. So she was given Danggui Shaoyao Powder Decoction. After taking two doses, the amount of urine increased, the edema of the lower limbs was reduced, and her diet and sleep were also good. Slightly reduce the dosage, and then take two more doses, and then the pregnancy can be carried out safely until the birth is normal.
2 Swelling
After seven or eight months of pregnancy, the lower limbs or the whole body will be swollen, which is called "swollen". It is mostly characterized by blood deficiency, blood stasis, and dampness stagnation. It can be treated with "Danggui Shaoyao Powder".
3 Dysmenorrhea
Dysmenorrhea is a common clinical disease, and its mechanism of occurrence is mostly due to poor circulation of Qi and blood. Qi stagnation, blood stasis, cold and dampness. There are many treatments for this disease. Regardless of whether it is a long-term disease with dysmenorrhea or a new disease with dysmenorrhea, it is often treated with Danggui Shaoyao Powder plus 9 grams of Danbark, 9 grams of Yuanhu, and 3 grams of cinnamon. The curative effect is very good.
4 Chronic nephritis
Example: Jin x, male, 40 years old. Five years ago, I was admitted to X hospital due to nephritis. The patient had edema, a swollen heart and mouth, and difficulty in urination. The urine protein test was ( ). After two months of treatment, all the symptoms basically disappeared and he was discharged. Recently, due to overwork, various syndromes have recurred. The urine protein test is between ( ) or ( ). The hospital recommends traditional Chinese medicine treatment. The patient sought treatment and found that his pulse was neither floating nor sinking, so he was given Danggui Shaoyao Powder and ordered to take it in powder for a long time. A year later, I met the patient when I went to the countryside. He said: After taking the medicine for less than a month, he saw great effects. After that, he continued to take the medicine for a period of time. All symptoms disappeared and he stopped taking the medicine on his own. Recently, the urine protein test in the hospital was still (1). ).
5 Treatment of Unnamed Total Abdominal Swelling
Example: Zhou x A detailed diagnosis and X-ray examination were conducted to confirm that there was no pregnancy, liver or kidney disease. The hospital found no cause, so a Chinese medicine doctor was asked for diagnosis and treatment. The remaining touch was in the abdomen, and the sensation was abnormal. When asked, there was no pain, and the pulse was slightly stringy. There is no evidence of disease with such a swollen abdomen? I thought about it for a while, was it congestion? Gas accumulation? Insect disease? Finally, after careful consideration, it is found that the liver and spleen are not in harmony, and the water-dampness is internally stopped. Try a decoction of Danggui and Shaoyao Powder, with twice the amount of Poria cocos.
Little did they know that after taking the medicine, the urine increased and the abdominal swelling was reduced, which was praised by both doctors and patients. Then add 12 grams of Poria bark, 9 grams of Poria bark, and 9 grams of ginger to the Danggui and Shaoyao powder decoction. After taking three doses, the swelling disappeared, and the whole abdomen became soft and healed.
Danggui and Shaoyao powder has the effect of regulating qi and blood, harmonizing blood and promoting dampness. Clinical syndrome is often based on this flexible application, and it has been used to treat many types of difficult diseases with the above-mentioned pathogenesis, so I will not go into details here.
Shaoyao Danggui Powder 2----Treatment of ovarian cysts
Discussion on the etiology and pathogenesis
Ovarian cyst is a common gynecological disease with mild symptoms and onset Hidden, often discovered during gynecological examination. Modern medicine is still unclear about the cause of ovarian cysts. Clinically, ovarian cysts are often classified into the categories of "mast" and "intestine" in traditional Chinese medicine, and are divided into four types: qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm-dampness and blood stasis, damp-heat stagnation, and kidney deficiency and blood stasis. Wang Sanhu believes that the main pathogenesis of ovarian cysts is the combination of blood and water. This disease is more common in women during the childbearing period. It is caused by a weak awareness of health care during menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth, and a lack of good habits of caring for the body. Wang Sanhu pointed out that in fact, he had realized as early as in "Lingshu: The Origin of All Diseases" that "if the juice and foam fight with the blood, they will coalesce and condense and cannot disperse but accumulate." "The coagulated blood will not disperse and the body fluid will be astringent." It seeps, sticks but doesn’t go away, and it accumulates and it’s all done.”
Experience in selecting prescriptions and medication
For the treatment of ovarian cysts, contemporary doctors mostly use the methods of breaking blood stasis and dissipating stagnation, regulating qi and reducing phlegm, such as Wenjing Decoction, Guizhi Fuling Pills, and Shaoxing The main prescription is Fu Zhuyu Decoction. Wang Sanhu pointed out that these three prescriptions are all suitable for uterine fibroids and gynecological malignant tumors, but Wenjing Decoction is often used for malignant tumors with a combination of cold and heat; Guizhi Fuling Pills are mostly used for uterine fibroids with a combination of cold and heat; Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction is used to treat blood stasis. Uterine fibroids with obvious blood symptoms, and patients with ovarian cysts mostly have blood and water, so Danggui Shaoyao Powder is more suitable for the condition.
Danggui and Shaoyao Powder comes from "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber: Treatment of Women's Miscellaneous Diseases and Pulses": "Danggui and Shaoyao Powder is the main treatment for women with various abdominal diseases and pains." It is used to treat women with hemorrhage. Abdominal pain syndrome. In Danggui Shaoyao Powder, Angelicae Sinensis, White Peony Root and Ligusticum Chuanxiong promote blood circulation, while Atractylodes Macrocephala, Poria cocos and Alisma diuretic are used to promote water circulation. They complement each other and can effectively reverse the pathological state of water when blood is unfavorable and blood disharmony when water is unfavorable. On the basis of this prescription, Wang Sanhu often adds adenophora, motherwort, safflower seeds and other blood-activating and water-activating products, or supplements the syndrome with herbs such as sapodilla thorn, pangolin, cat's claw and other soft and hard dispersing drugs. For those with fat tongue and severe dampness, add Qumai, Plantain, and Verbena to dilute water and remove dampness; for those with dull tongue, discomfort due to cold, and obvious symptoms of cold-dampness, add Radix Herba, Evodia, Cumin, and other Wenyang Powders Cold; For those with yellow and greasy tongue coating, constipation, yellow urine, and significant dampness and heat, add Phellodendron cypress, gardenia, coix seed, etc. to clear away heat and remove dampness; forsythia suspensa, dandelion, angelica, soybean, and boxing ginseng can clear away heat, diuresis, swelling, and dissipate knots. ; For those with hypochondriac pain and abdominal distension, add Bupleurum, Cyperus rotunda, Luffa, Fallopianum, Passepartout to soothe the liver, regulate Qi and unblock meridians; for those with obvious blood stasis, add Trigonella, Curcuma, peach kernel, safflower, leech, etc. to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis; If you have pain, use Canadian wolfberry and toodanzi to activate blood circulation and relieve pain.
Typical case
Ms. Wei, 23 years old, from Liuzhou City, was first diagnosed on November 12, 2009. She reported that a B-ultrasound showed a mixed mass of 51mm×44mm in the left appendage area half a month ago. ×32mm, requires traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Dry stool, once every two days, yellow urine, poor sleep, red tongue with yellow coating and rapid pulse. The syndrome differentiation is that blood and water are combined and dampness and heat are combined. Danggui Shaoyao Powder and Simiao Powder are added and subtracted, Angelicae 12g, White Peony 12g, Chuanxiong 12g, Alisma 12g, Atractylodes 12g, Poria 30g, Atractylodes 10g, Phellodendron 12g, Coix Seed 30g, Achyranthes Achyranthes 12g, Qumai 12g, Dandelion 30g, Forsythia suspensa 15g, Dendrobium sibiricum 30g, Angelica dahurica 10g, Cyperus cyperus 12g, Adenophora 12g, Locust thorn 10g, Pangolin 2g. 7 servings, one serving per day, decoction in water. Professor Wang Sanhu is a master's tutor at Guangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and director of the Liuzhou Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology. He is familiar with classics and is good at using classic prescriptions. He has rich treatment experience and theoretical exploration of tumor diseases. As a student of Professor Wang Sanhu, the author has benefited a lot from his clinical experience. Wang Sanhu’s experience in treating ovarian cysts is now introduced as follows.
Intestinal tan (tan) is the name of the disease in ancient China. Published "Lingshu Water Swelling". It refers to a disease in which a woman has a lump in her lower abdomen, but her menstruation comes on time. It is mostly caused by internal injuries of the seven emotions, stagnation of liver qi, stagnation of qi and blood stasis, and accumulation of stagnation into lumps. "Lingshu·Water Swelling": "In the case of intestinal Qin, the cold Qi travels outside the intestines and fights with the Wei Qi. The Qi cannot prosper. Because it is tied and addicted to the inside, bad Qi arises and polyps develop. It is also the beginning of growth. It is as big as a hen's egg. It will be bigger if you press it a little, and when it is mature, it will look like a child. If you press it for a long time, it will be strong. If you push it, it will move. The menstrual period will be at the moment. This is the time when it is treated. Cold, promotes qi and blood circulation. The recipe uses Guizhi Fuling pills or Xiangleng pills ("Jisheng Prescription": clove, costus, trigonatum, zedoary, green bark, toochean root, cumin, citrus aurantium, and cinnabar are pills). Surgical treatment can also be used.
Zhang Zilin, a veteran Chinese medicine practitioner, has herbal prescription 3
Zhongjing’s prescription of Danggui and Shaoyao Powder is used to treat abdominal scabies in women during pregnancy. The scabies and acute pain are also caused by the blood component in the prescription. The medicine and the Qi medicine each account for half each. It is neither cold nor hot, warm and gentle, nourishes and harmonizes the blood, invigorates the spleen and exudes dampness, and treats insufficient healthy Qi, water Qi wins over earth, Qi and blood are not regulated and abdominal pain occurs. This prescription is stable and can be used to treat abdominal pain. Slowing down and controlling urgency is the king's method.
The wife of an old colleague, Zhang, suffered from unbearable abdominal cramping when she was pregnant with her third son. Various treatments with traditional Chinese medicine were ineffective. One day, Zhang came to my place and talked about his wife’s illness in a casual chat. I suggested that he try I tried treating it with Danggui and Shaoyao Powder.
A week later, Zhang came to tell me personally and convinced me that after 3 doses of the medicine, if the abdominal pain disappeared, the original prescription was:
White peony 6, Alisma 4.5, Poria 12 Atractylodes macrocephala 12 Angelica sinensis 9 Chuanxiong rhizome 9 decoction in water.
However, this recipe cannot be fried for a long time. It takes 10-15 minutes from the time the pot is turned on.
Guizhi Fuling Pills and Danggui Shaoyao Powder 1
Guizhi Fuling Pills and Danggui Shaoyao Powder are both prescriptions used in the "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" to treat miscellaneous diseases of pregnancy in women.
Guizhi Fuling Pills are composed of five herbs: cassia twig, Poria cocos, paeonol bark, peach kernel, and peony. It is an agent for dispelling blood stasis and transforming diseases. Zhongjing is used to treat menstrual blood leakage caused by abdominal tumors during pregnancy.
"A Good Prescription for Women" says: "The Life-Destroying Pill (i.e. Guizhi Fuling Pills) is used to treat women with miscarriage, excessive bleeding, and the baby dies in the abdomen. The person has cold symptoms, fingers, and If the lips and claws are bluish-white, the complexion is yellow and black, or the fetus is robbing the heart, the patient may be feeling suffocated and dying of cold sweats, feeling full of breath and not eating, or eating poisonous substances, or mistakenly taking herbal medicines, which may injure the fetal qi and lead to bleeding. If the fetus is not damaged, it can be taken safely. If it is dead, it can be taken..." "Jiyin Gangmu" says: "Jiyin Decoction (Guizhi Fuling Pill Water Decoction) is suitable for pregnant women. If you have abdominal pain and see that the cytoplasm has been released, decoct it with water and take it hot. You can also take Duiming Pills (Guizhi Fuling Pills) to treat the retained afterbirth and fetal death."
Danggui Shaoyao Powder consists of Angelicae Sinensis, Paeoniae Radix, Chuanxiong, It is composed of six medicinal herbs: Poria cocos, Atractylodes macrocephala and Alisma. Zhongjing is used to treat abdominal colic caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach, imbalance of liver qi, and disharmony between the liver and spleen after pregnancy. Therefore, peony is used heavily in the prescription to purge the liver and calm the spleen and earth.
"Three Causes of Prescription" says: "Danggui Shaoyao Powder can treat abdominal colic in pregnancy, acute pain in the heart, postpartum haemorrhage, internal deficiency and qi deficiency, and prolonged dysentery during collapse. If taken regularly, the flow will be smooth." Blood vessels, carbuncles and ulcers are not produced, phlegm is eliminated, the stomach is nourished, eyesight is improved and fluid is produced. The results of repeated clinical trials show that no matter which one of these two prescriptions is used alone, it can cure menstruation, pregnancy, etc. Each disease and syndrome has a certain curative effect, but it also has certain limitations. It is better to combine the two prescriptions to have a high curative effect and a wide range of treatment. This compound can treat various gynecological diseases caused by cold blood coagulation and dampness blocking blood flow.
The combined use of Guizhi Fuling Pills and Danggui Shaoyao Powder will provide a more complete medicinal effect. In the prescription, cinnamon twigs are used to warm yang and dredge blood vessels, peach kernels and paeonol are used to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, angelica is used to activate blood circulation and nourish blood, Ligusticum chuanxiong regulates qi and promotes blood circulation, and white peony root regulates yin and nourishes yin. The combination of these medicines can activate blood circulation, remove blood stasis and clear blood vessels. Poria cocos and Alisma can promote water penetration. For dampness, Atractylodes macrocephala nourishes the spleen and helps the middle qi. This prescription purges the middle part of the body and contains tonic, revitalizing blood stasis without damaging the body.
Clinically, the author uses this combination to widely apply to various diseases of women. Symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, metrorrhagia, mass agglomeration, etc., as long as it is indeed cold coagulation and blood stagnation, blood stasis, or dampness stagnation and blood stasis, the main symptoms will be lower abdominal pain and refusal to press. , the blood is purple and dark, there are clots in the blood, the pain is relieved after the blood clots are removed, which is more severe when encountering cold, the pain is relieved due to heat, or excessive leucorrhea, waist difficulty, edema of the lower limbs, etc., all are very effective. It can open the closed ones and stop the collapsed ones, which is really wonderful. This prescription has also been tried on people who had abdominal pain, bleeding, and multiple leucorrhea after putting on the IUD, and it has been used repeatedly and has been effective. After taking its prescription to treat blood stasis, some patients excrete a small amount of blood stasis clots, while others do not. This is considered to be due to body absorption. When this prescription is used to treat women with metrorrhagia and other syndromes, it has never been found that bleeding caused by removing blood stasis and activating blood circulation has never been found.
1. Dysmenorrhea
Dysmenorrhea can be divided into deficiency and excess. Dysmenorrhea caused by blood stasis and internal obstruction is caused by cold or dampness. Most of the pain occurs before or during menstruation, and the location of pain never moves. , refuse to press, there may be lumps in the lower abdomen, menstrual period is late, the blood is dark purple and there are blood clots. Use this prescription to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and relieve pain by removing cold.
Typical case:
Wang XX, female, 23 years old, a young man who jumped in line. Six months ago, I started to have dysmenorrhea after being exposed to rain. Every three days before menstruation, I started to have pain that refused to be pressed, and gradually became more severe. The pain is most severe on the day of menstruation and is unbearable. During menstruation, the amount is small, dark in color, and there are lumps. The abdominal pain subsides slightly after the blood clots occur. This happens every month, which is very painful.
The diagnosis revealed a strong but slow pulse, a dark purple tongue with ecchymosis, and white and greasy coating. It was considered that cold-dampness was internally stagnant, blood stasis was blocked, and the menstrual blood was not flowing smoothly. If the menstrual blood was not flowing smoothly, it would be painful. After taking four doses of the above-mentioned combination formula, it was my menstrual period. I reported that the pain during menstruation was much less than the previous times, and I could endure it without painkillers. Continue to use the above, one dose every two days, and take ten doses of this prescription before and after the treatment, and the dysmenorrhea is basically cured. Only a slight discomfort in the lower abdomen the day before each menstrual period is not enough to cause a problem. Later, Ziyin Decoction, which nourishes blood and regulates menstruation, was prepared, and several doses were taken to consolidate the condition.
2. Metrorrhagia
Menstrual irregularities such as "uterine bleeding" can be treated with the method of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, which has a certain effect. Collapse and leakage are the same in nature and can only be divided into mild and severe, slow and urgent. Collapse is also called "burst collapse" or "middle collapse", which means the bleeding is fierce, the bleeding is urgent, the blood volume is large, and it cannot be stopped. Leakage means the bleeding volume is small, dripping continuously, continuous, and the disease is slow. But between the two They can transform into each other, and collapse can turn into leakage, and leakage can also turn into collapse.
According to the discussion of former sages, the causes and pathogenesis are generally as follows: spleen yang deficiency cannot control the blood; liver yin deficiency can lead to collapse. In addition to the inability to store blood, deficiency of kidney qi (including kidney yin deficiency and kidney yang deficiency), imbalance of Chong and Ren, inability to absorb blood, deficiency of heat or excess heat that interferes with the blood components, there are also qi stagnation. Blood stasis, blood stagnation and other reasons. In short, when metrorrhagia occurs, it is due to deficiency in eight or nine cases, and in one or two ten cases due to actual condition. Collapse. Yan Yonghe said: "Excessive fatigue can seriously damage the liver, which can lead to collapse and leakage." "Zhu Danxi said: "Women with collapse are caused by the deficiency of the internal organs and the deficiency of the Chong and Ren meridians. "To sum up, it is believed that the inability to control the deficiency of the organs and meridians is the fundamental cause of uterine bleeding. Combined with recent reports and articles, it is also believed that the cause of this disease is mostly deficient, but few are true. Some people follow The conclusion drawn from the analysis of many cases is that less than 20% of the cases of uterine bleeding are due to actual conditions, and the rest are due to deficiency or a small number of cases are due to both deficiency and actual conditions.
According to clinical observations, the diagnosis of uterine bleeding is based on clinical observation. The pathogenesis of uterine bleeding seems to be somewhat different from that mentioned above.
According to clinical manifestations and pathological characteristics, uterine bleeding can be divided into two types: syndrome and deficiency. The pathological mechanism depends on the internal organs. Although there are many cases of disease caused by meridian deficiency, the author's clinical observation of cases shows that these patients are less common than those with qi stagnation and blood stasis, and blood stasis is the most common. The ones who block the most.
In the empirical evidence, the main pathogenesis of this disease is generally the following.
Guizhi Fuling Pills and Danggui Shaoyao Powder 2
1. Cold coagulation and blood stagnation: mainly caused by cold during or before and after menstruation, exposure to rain, wading, sitting or lying in wetlands, or wind-cold Exogenous infection causes cold evil to invade externally and lodge in the uterus. The nourishing blood becomes cold and coagulates, blocking the blood vessels, preventing them from entering the meridians along the meridians, and overflowing outside the vessels, causing metrorrhagia. Once blood stasis has occurred, the meaning of "cold" is no longer significant, and the focus should be on "blood stasis."
2. Qi stagnation and blood stasis: irritability, premenstruation and postpartum, sadness and depression, causing qi stagnation in the liver meridian. It cannot enter the meridians along the meridians, and the blood stasis will return and turn into heat for a long time. The heat will even force the blood to flow, causing metrorrhagia.
3. Others: Women with incomplete menstruation, or postpartum or miscarriage with residual lochia and septicemia can cause internal stasis of blood stasis, which may block normal blood flow over time, leading to metrorrhagia.
Most of the above causes are more likely to occur in young and middle-aged women. Therefore, most of the patients are young and middle-aged women, and there are actually more cases of metrorrhagia with syndrome than deficiency syndrome.
In the treatment of metrorrhagia, most doctors emphasize on replenishing deficiency and stopping bleeding, while ignoring blood stasis as the cause. Even if the patient is diagnosed with blood stasis, or when symptoms of deficiency and excess appear at the same time, he would not dare to treat the bleeding with the method of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It is believed that stopping the bleeding first and then removing blood stasis is a foolproof strategy. As everyone knows, blood that has become stagnant and has separated from the menstrual period will lose its normal physiological functions. Not only is it useless to the human body, but it can block the uterine meridians and hinder the normal circulation of blood, making it unable to enter the meridians along the meridians and overflowing in the meridians. Externally, metrorrhagia occurs. At this time, in terms of treatment, if the blood stasis is not driven out of the body as soon as possible, but simply using nourishing, astringent and hemostatic products will not only be of no benefit to the disease, but will make the blood stasis worse and worse due to congestion and astringency. If there are too many, the knot will become more solid, which will make the disease worse. If the blood stasis does not go away, the bleeding will not stop. Even if you use astringent hemostatic drugs to stop the bleeding, it will only have a temporary superficial effect. Once bleeding occurs again, it will be difficult to control. The ancients divided the treatment of this disease into three stages, namely "stop flow", "clear source" and "return". The so-called "blocking the flow" does not mean blindly blocking the flow. If there is blood stasis and blockage, it will be difficult to achieve the purpose of "blocking the flow" only by using astringent and hemostasis methods. It should be combined with promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis in the "blocking flow" to be effective.
Practice has proven that using the method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis to treat metrorrhagia caused by blood stasis not only does not aggravate bleeding, but also has a hemostatic effect. This shows that as long as the blood stasis is driven out of the body, the qi and blood will be unobstructed, the blood will not leak out, and the bleeding will stop on its own. Of course, the method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis should also be based on the urgency of the specimen. If the bleeding is large and the oncoming force is urgent, and if the bleeding is not stopped within a short time, there is a risk of blood loss. The principle of "treating the symptoms when it is urgent" should be used to collect blood, improve For blood, the hemostatic effect is temporarily suppressed, and then the root cause can be treated after the bleeding has stopped.
According to clinical observation, metrorrhagia is caused by blood stasis and internal obstruction, especially in young and middle-aged people. Clinical manifestations include dark purple blood, lower abdominal pain, waist difficulty, lumps in the blood, and refusal to press the abdomen, etc. After using the method of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, abdominal pain will be relieved and bleeding will be reduced or stopped soon.
For those with cold coagulation and blood stasis, there is not much bleeding, lower abdominal pain, and the painful area never moves, and the pain will not move or there is blood stasis. The heat will reduce it, and the cold will cause severe pain and bleeding. The pain is severe before and subsides slightly after bleeding. The tongue is dark purple or has ecchymosis, the fur is thin and white, and the pulse is heavy or slow or astringent. Treatment should be to warm yang, stimulate menstruation, activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis.
For these types of "collapse" and "leakage", this prescription has a very good therapeutic effect. As for patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis and other types of diseases, other prescriptions should be used to treat them. It should be noted that the treatment of this disease by promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis is a method of eliminating evil. The ancients said: "To treat serious poisons, six out of ten should be eliminated." Therefore, when using it, it is generally necessary to stop using it after removing blood stasis, and instead use methods such as strengthening the spleen and nourishing blood to nourish the blood. Because this disease is often a chronic disease that relapses, qi and blood will inevitably be depleted over time, so deficiency is the inevitable result of this disease. Once the blood stasis is driven away, you can start to replenish the deficiency to consolidate the curative effect and achieve a complete cure.
Typical case:
Liu xx, female, 32 years old, housewife. I had a miscarriage of a six-month fetus three months ago, with lingering lochia, continuous dripping, abdominal pain, dark purple blood, and sometimes small black patches.
She was diagnosed and treated by several doctors for postpartum anemia, and supplements were given, but they were ineffective and lingering for nearly three months. Although the pulse was thin but strong, there was tenderness in the left lower abdomen, which was considered to be due to incomplete postpartum lochia and internal blockage of blood stasis, which caused the menstrual blood to not flow normally through the meridians and enter the meridians, so the metrorrhagia continued. Treated with a combination of Guizhi Fuling Pills and Danggui Shaoyao Powder. After taking two doses, a small amount of blood clots occurred and the abdominal pain was relieved. After taking three more doses, the abdominal pain disappeared and the bleeding stopped. After taking the medicine intended to nourish blood and regulate menstruation, the patient recovered in two weeks.
3. Symptoms
"Syndrome" is very similar to "uterine fibroid" in modern medicine. It is a common benign tumor in gynecology. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is due to qi stagnation and blood stasis. It becomes lumpy over time. Clinical manifestations include heavy menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, shortened menstrual cycle, and irregular vaginal bleeding. When fibroids are large, a lump can be felt in the abdomen. The author uses the above-mentioned combination of prescriptions to treat this disease, and the lumps can often be reduced or even disappear.
Typical case:
Zhang XX, female, 45 years old. Half a year ago, I discovered a growing mass in my abdomen, accompanied by abdominal pain, irregular menstruation, and excessive leucorrhea. Recently, the mass has become larger and larger, about 8×8×10 (cm) in size. After a gynecological examination, it was diagnosed as uterine fibroids, and surgical treatment was recommended. The patient planned to go to a large hospital for surgery, but the bed was too tight, so he tried Chinese medicine treatment first. He made a pill of Guizhi Fuling Pills, Danggui Shaoyao Powder, and took it for one month. After taking the pills, I went to the gynecologist for a check-up. The mass shrank to 3×3×5 (cm), and there was no need for surgery. I continued to take two pills as before. The mass disappeared and all symptoms were cured.
Note: This patient suffers from uterine fibroids, and the volume is 8×8×10 (cm). Use Guizhi Fuling Pills, Danggui Shaoyao Powder to prepare a pill and take it for one month. It can be reduced to less than one-half of its original size, and its efficacy is extremely high and rapid. Amazing. The effect of this prescription in treating uterine fibroids may not always reach this point. This is just a typical case. Although the curative effect in other cases is not as good as this, long-term use of this combined prescription as pills can have a significant effect on eliminating uterine fibroids, which are the "diseases", "masts, and blood stasis" in traditional Chinese medicine. However, there is also a certain range of treatment. , if the disease is too large and has been accumulated for too long, this method may not be enough, and other treatments should be considered.
