Xuyi County was once under Anhui Province. According to checking the official website of the People's Government of Xuyi County, in 1952, when Jiangsu Province was founded, the state, in order to strengthen the management of Lake Hongze, then in 1955, it was assigned to Jiangsu Province, under the Huaiyin Prefecture, and before 1955, Xuyi County belonged to the jurisdiction of Anhui Province. Xuyi County, a county under the jurisdiction of Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the Yangtze River Delta region, southwest of Huai'an, downstream of the Huaihe River, on the south shore of Lake Hongze, and in the east-central part of the Jianghuai Plain.
