(1) Tidy up the beach surface, including sowing and harrowing, divide the beach surface into several farming areas or wheel-grabbing and wheel-releasing areas, and excavate annular ditches and central ditches to facilitate water intake and drainage and fresh water discharge in rainy season.
(2) Eliminate pests and ensure the safety of cultured shellfish.
(3) Select breeding varieties, and adopt appropriate transplanting or stocking methods, such as tidal seedling acceptance, parent shellfish transplantation, seedling picking on attached base, artificial seedling raising, etc. And ensure that the stocking density is appropriate.
(4) Do a good job of escaping and guarding against theft. For shellfish with large mobility, such as Meretrix meretrix, anti-escape nets should be set around the culture area to prevent escape.
(5) Reasonable maintenance: divide a culture into blocks for rotation, so as to avoid feeding fry for many times, or adopt the way of catching large ones and keeping small ones to ensure the replenishment of subsequent populations.
(6) Do a good job in daily maintenance and management, regularly remove enemy damage, level the beach surface, dredge ditches, and discharge fresh water in time after rain.
