Elizabeth, a Japanese cantaloupe, tastes sweet. It is a new early-maturing thick-skinned melon variety introduced from Japan by Zhongyuan West Melon Research Institute in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

Elizabeth's fruit is round, with yellow skin, about 3 cm thick meat, about 15% sugar content, and the weight of a single fruit is 800 grams to 1 100 grams. It takes about 30 days for the fruit to bloom and mature.

Elizabeth, with wide adaptability and easy fruit setting, is the most widely planted melon variety in greenhouse in China. Suitable for early spring and late autumn cultivation, the cultivation density in shed is 1500 plants per mu, and the cultivation density in greenhouse is 2000 plants per mu.
