Flax oil. Flax oil, also known as linseed oil, is an ancient edible oil. It is a fatty oil extracted from the seeds of the flaxseed plant. Flax is cold-tolerant by nature and is suitable for growing in the alpine and arid areas of the west and north. Flax seeds contain 6% to 10% flax gum. Chicken legs cooked in sesame oil are delicious. Flax gum is a pectin-like substance mainly composed of polysaccharides. It contains 12% protein and about 17% pectic acid, starch, and minerals.
