What is Lao Bai Gan
Lao Bai Gan means unadulterated liquor, and in the broadest sense Lao Bai Gan generalizes to liquor made from roasted grain. Laobai Gan is a kind of sorghum liquor, usually with a high degree of intensity, very strong liquor. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Hengshui liquor was named "Lao Bai Gan". "Old" refers to its long history of production, "white" means that the liquor is colorless and transparent, and "dry" means that it is pure, i.e., no water comes out after being burned in a fire, which accurately sums up the characteristics of Hengshui Liquor. After that, Hengshui wine was famous for its three aromas, namely, "fresh smell, sweet smell in the mouth, and after-drinking aroma".
