What are wild grapes?
Wild grape, also known as mountain grape, is a deciduous vine of the Vitaceae family and a perennial climbing fruit tree. Wild grape vines can be more than 15 meters long. The bark is dark brown or reddish brown. The vines are creeping or leaning on other trees. The tops of wild grapevine tendrils are opposite to the leaves. The single leaves are alternate, dark green, and broadly ovate. The leaves often turn red in autumn. It has strong disease resistance, cold resistance and moisture resistance. It is an excellent cold-resistant rootstock and has strong growth ability in the wild environment.
