Shaoxing, Zhejiang Shaoxing is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, located in the north-central part of Zhejiang Province, on the south bank of Hangzhou Bay, and is a cultural and eco-tourism city with the characteristics of a water town in the south of the Yangtze River[1]. It is located between 119°53′03″ and 121°13′38″ East Longitude, 29°13′35″ and 30°17′30″ North Latitude, with a subtropical monsoon climate, warm and humid, and four distinct seasons. The whole territory is 130.4 kilometers long from east to west, 118.1 kilometers wide from north to south, and the coastline is 40 kilometers long, with a total land area of 8273.3 square kilometers. The city has a total area of 2,942 square kilometers and a population of 2,161,000 (November 2013 data)
