Perilla sowing time
Perilla varieties: Common varieties are wild perilla and perilla macrophylla. Auricularia auricula and angelica dahurica.
Sowing time: Perilla frutescens is sowed in spring, the specific time depends on the region. If the south is warm, you can sow in mid-March, and if the north is cold, you should postpone sowing until April.
Sowing time of potted perilla: It is best to sow potted perilla in spring, and the specific time depends on the climate and temperature conditions. Generally, it is better to sow in March in the south and in the middle and late April in the north.
Perilla sowing temperature: Perilla likes warm and humid climate. When the local temperature is above 5℃, the seeds can germinate, the suitable temperature for germination is 1-23℃, and the seedlings can tolerate the low temperature of 1-2℃.
Perilla seed method
1, land selection and soil preparation: Perilla frutescens has strong adaptability, so it is best to choose sandy loam with good drainage and loose and fertile soil, and then turn over more than 20cm and compact it.
2. Direct seeding method: the sowing time difference between the north and the south is one month, April in the south and the middle and late May in the north. Direct seeding, ensure the row spacing of 60cm and the ditching depth of 2-3cm, evenly spread the seeds into the ditch, and cover the seeds.
3. Loosening soil and removing seedlings: Perilla should weed frequently before closing the ridge. When the seedlings grow to 15cm, they should be fixed to 30cm, and the surplus seedlings should be used for transplanting.
4. Topdressing: apply fertilizer to Perilla frutescens, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, and concentrate fertilization before closing the ridge.
Perilla seed germination
Perilla seeds can be soaked in clear water or gibberellin. In the process of soaking seeds, we should observe the situation of seeds more, such as adding water after the water level drops, and the seeds can be sown in the soil after cracking.
Sowing and emergence of perilla frutescens
As long as the conditions are suitable, perilla seeds can germinate in about a week, and after the seedlings grow, they are managed in the field.
