How to raise mint
Mint is a kind of vanilla, and there are dozens of kinds of mint, because it will vary with the change of environmental geology during its growth. Our common varieties, or those grown in the wild, include soil mint, also called China mint, and common spearmint, also called spearmint, which is the cool taste of chewing gum.
light
Mint likes plenty of sunshine, which is beneficial to the formation of mint aroma. If the mint is kept indoors, it should be moved to a sunny place every three days for 1-2 days, and then moved back indoors.
temperature
Mint likes warm climate, and the most suitable temperature for growth is 20-30 degrees. It is also very cold-resistant. Even if the temperature drops to about 2 degrees in winter, the plants begin to wither and go into dormancy, and new branches can grow from the roots the next year.
water
Mint likes moist soil environment and is more resistant to moisture. During the growing period, water should be enough to keep the soil moist in the basin. However, wet soil should be avoided. Too wet pot soil will lead to white growth of plants, thinning of leaves and falling off of lower leaves, and it is also easy to be infected by diseases.
Turn the washbasin over.
Because mint grows fast, it turns 1 times every spring. Peppermint is not strict with soil, preferring fertile neutral or alkaline soil with good drainage. Potted substrates can be made of humus soil, garden soil, chaff ash or coarse sand.
prune
Pruning once a year, combined with turning pots, promotes the growth of branches and leaves. If the plant growth potential is not strong, it needs to be updated and pruned to restore the vigorous growth of the plant. In summer, if the height of the stem is too high, you can pick the core or spray it on the leaves with paclobutrazol solution to control the height.
How to raise mint to the frying pan?
First of all, mint likes sunshine. If you want potted mint to explode, you must put it in a sunny place. Don't worry about the sun in summer. If there is not enough sunshine, mint is easy to grow white, and its leaves are small and very thin. The whole pot may get smaller and smaller.
Secondly, raising mint needs enough water, and hydroponics is ok, but soil culture will grow better. If you don't water for a few days, the inside of the flowerpot will be extremely dry and even the leaves will wither. Don't worry, as long as the roots are energetic and watered again, they will soon regain their former vitality.
Finally, change pots once a year in spring or autumn, and use fertile and soft soil. It is best to trim it regularly. The more you trim it, the better it will grow. Loosen the soil from time to time, or add some soil, or fertilize it to grow faster. Be sure to put it in a ventilated place on the balcony.
Tips Potted plants with moderate pot explosion will be more beautiful, but excessive exuberance will lead to mint competing for nutrition and affect normal growth. If it is found that the peppermint has serious pot explosion, the soil fertility can be reduced, and the pressure of peppermint pot explosion can also be reduced by transplanting in different pots.
