These people are targeting Qu Yuan because the reforms that Qu Yuan carried out were for the benefit of the people. To achieve this goal, it is bound to be at the expense of the interests of the upper nobility. Therefore, Zilan and others pointed their finger at Qu Yuan and opposed the political reform.

2. The alienated Qu Yuan was exiled to the Northern Han Dynasty. At the same time, Chu Huaiwang was deceived by Zhang Yi of the State of Qin and gave up his plan to attack the State of Qi. Unwilling to be deceived by this, Chu Huaiwang sent troops to attack Qin twice in a row, but neither won. Not only that, Chu was attacked by Qin, and Hanzhong County was occupied by Qin. So Chu Huaiwang recalled Qu Yuan and ordered him to go to Qi, hoping to form an alliance with Qi. However, after Qu Yuan came back from Qi, he alienated him again.

3. After that, I listened to Qin's rhetoric and got back together with Qin. Qu Yuan was very dissatisfied with this, but he couldn't change Chu Huaiwang's mind, so he chose to go to Hanbei again. Two years later, Chu was jointly attacked by Qi, Han and Wei, and Chu was defeated, so he sent the prince as a hostage and asked Qin to send troops to help. I never thought that a year later, the king of Chu fled back to Chu because of the accidental killing of Dr. Chu, and Qin launched a war against Chu on this ground, so Chu lost several cities in succession.

At this time, Qu Yuan had already returned from Hanbei, but only a few years after his return, he was exiled to Jiangnan. In this exile, after hearing the news that the capital of Chu was destroyed, Qu Yuan threw himself into the river. Although the local people tried their best to salvage his body, they never found it. Finally, they had to throw the rice balls into the river, hoping that the fish in the river would not destroy Qu Yuan's body. This incident is the origin of eating zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival.
