Later, I was admitted to Hunan University. I went to college in 1988. 1992 was assigned to work in a state-owned enterprise after graduation, and later resigned. Others resigned and went to sea successfully, but I didn't succeed. Ten years after graduation in 2002, there are nearly 30 students in our class. Ten years after graduation, I was the worst.

I came to Shenzhen with nothing, looking for a college classmate of mine. In college, we live in bunk beds. This classmate's surname is Xiong. I call him Xiong. At that time, Xiao Xiong had started a business in Shenzhen, and his business was quite successful. Opened a factory in Shiyan, Shenzhen. I went to see him and stayed with him for more than ten days. When I left, he gave me 1000 yuan. He thought I hadn't changed my clothes and asked his wife to buy me some clothes.

After that, I returned to my hometown in rural areas, Dangshan County, Anhui Province. This is a great shock to me. My house is too shabby and leaky for my parents to live in. I thought to myself, it's been ten years since I graduated from college, and I've accomplished nothing, so I'm mixed up. Everyone in the village said that there was a college student in this family. I am the first college student in our village, and his family is still the poorest. It is useless to go to college! What's the use of going to college if children don't want to study? Might as well work. I was 33 years old, and I asked my parents, what is their greatest wish? Parents said: build a house, now this house is too broken to live in; Secondly, you have to find a girlfriend. You are 33 years old and don't even have a girlfriend. In rural areas, people usually get married in their early twenties, or they are single. I told my parents that I wouldn't be a bachelor. My parents believed me at first, but later they couldn't hold back their neighbors' words. They said: Liu's cousin is a bachelor, and Liu will take the cousin route in the future. I swear, I must earn some money to repay my parents. Ten years after graduation, don't harm the children in the village, don't study. When I was in college, I was still a role model for children. I have done well in school since I was a child. It was difficult to get into college in the 1980s, but I got in anyway. This situation has a great influence on me now.

Coincidence: Embracing the Education Industry

I have a friend in Beijing. He told me that the remedial classes for postgraduate entrance examination in Beijing are very popular, but it seems that there are not many remedial classes in Shanghai. Can you try it? So I went to Shanghai. How should I start going to Shanghai empty-handed? Moreover, I didn't want to start a business at first, just to earn some money to repay my parents. In our education at that time, Marx said that capitalists "have blood and dirt dripping from every pore", so I don't want to be a boss, I just want to make some money, that's all. What should I do when I arrive in Shanghai? I contracted someone else's remedial class. Fudan University has a college, which is a training institution run by retired professors of Fudan University. I contracted this project. Why did they contract me? Those old people are all retired professors. When I talked about contracting, they couldn't recruit any students. How do those professors go out to recruit students? Everyone is used to "sitting north facing south". People think that even if you fail, there will be no loss. Unexpectedly, I am very good. From summer to the end of the year, I recruited hundreds of students.

Reading is useful: attacking life.

When I came home during the Spring Festival, I asked my mother how much it would cost to build a house. She said it would cost 40,000 yuan to build a house, and she has saved 1 10,000 yuan. The saved 1 0,000 yuan was also the money I gave her before, so I took out 30,000 yuan and gave it to my mother to get ready to build a house at once. After the Spring Festival in 2003, the house was built, which is the most beautiful house in our village. The whole village envied that reading is still useful. Keep your word. Only when you do it will others believe you. The next year, I brought a girlfriend home. The whole village was a sensation. Everyone in the village said that an old bachelor in his thirties actually found a girlfriend, and soon I got married, which is my wife now.

Taqi was born.

After the Spring Festival, I went back to Shanghai to continue to contract this project. As soon as the leader of that college saw that this man was too capable, he greatly increased the contract fee. I have the final say, no matter what I do, I can't make money. I can't keep shrinking. So what should we do? I wanted to call an institution near Shanghai Jiaotong University, but there was no office space, so I rented an office space near Fudan University. Who knows, once I moved into that venue, the landlord told me that you must set up a company, and you can't work here without setting up a company. I said that when we signed the contract, we didn't say anything about setting up a company. Why do you have to set up a company before you can work? Later, I realized that because it is a science park, I need to attract investment. "People have to bow their heads under the eaves." I am a foreigner who has just come to Shanghai. what can I do? I asked how much it costs to register a company. He said: You need 654.38 million registered capital, which is still yours, and you can still use it. Later, I thought about it and set up a company with 65438+ 10,000 yuan. The name of this company is Shanghai Taiqi Education Service Company, which is the predecessor of Taiqi Education now. In this way, I established a company.

Open up the territory: gnawing down the hard bone of Shenzhen

Shenzhen branch is one of our earliest branches. Our first branch is in Suzhou. It is easy to understand why it was opened in Suzhou, which is close to Shanghai. In 2007, I opened the second branch school and chose Shenzhen. Opening a branch school in Shenzhen is actually quite tortuous and difficult. It is very easy for me to enroll students by giving lectures in Shanghai and Suzhou. Our earliest office in Shenzhen was in Xinhua Hotel, where we held a lecture. More than 20 students came to the scene. I rushed from Shanghai to Shenzhen to give a lecture. Unexpectedly, after the lecture, no one refused to register, but they did not leave. I talked for three hours, but they didn't sign up or leave, so they looked at me eagerly. I think people in Shenzhen are really different from other places now. Later, I learned that they were afraid of being cheated. This place in Shenzhen is so difficult that I don't trust people. Back in my office in Shenzhen, I thought I wouldn't do it in Shenzhen if I couldn't. At this moment, two students knocked at the door and came in. As soon as I saw it, it happened to be two students, a man and a woman, who had just finished my lecture. They said, President Liu, we decided to sign the contract here and pay the money now. Think about it, I spoke so well on the stage just now, and now someone has signed up to pay the money. I can't say that if we go back to Shanghai tomorrow, the remedial class will be cancelled. Think about it, how can you pull this face down? So I took their money and set up a branch school in Shenzhen. In the first year, there were not many students, only dozens, and I lost about 300 thousand a year. In fact, Shenzhen has been losing money for several years in a row. For a small private enterprise like us, losing hundreds of thousands is not a small sum. Today, Guangdong Branch has become the largest local auxiliary institution for postgraduate entrance examination of master of management, and that is another story.

Hard times: brothers in bed, tears streaming down their faces.

Of course, the most difficult time was the first year of contracting projects in Shanghai in 2002. When I first started contracting, I never thought I could stay in Shanghai. As a foreigner, I don't like staying in Shanghai. I just want to try it in Shanghai, or I'll leave if I can't. I didn't expect someone to sign up and give me money from the first day of opening. At that time, when I slept at night, I was not happy or excited, but heavy. I thought: this is terrible. I want to stay in Shanghai, because I took somebody else's money. If you want to escape, the police will want you. So, I have to do it honestly in Shanghai. Didn't you just say that I slept with my brother Liu Zili? Well, when I started my business in Shanghai, my brother Liu Zili graduated from high school and didn't go to college. I said, I'll find you a job in Shenzhen first. So, I called Bear in Shenzhen and said that I would arrange for my brother to work there. Bell readily agreed. Later, I basically started to contract projects here in Shanghai. I thought my brother would never learn anything in the factory, so I asked him to come to Shanghai to help me with remedial classes. At that time, the house I rented in Shanghai had only one bed, so I slept with Liu Zili. I also told my brother that you only have a high school diploma now, so you can take the exam yourself. You can get a bachelor's degree by taking the self-study exam. It's just that Fudan University, which I contracted, has a self-taught program. How good would it be for you to pay thousands of dollars for a self-taught undergraduate course and come out to get a college diploma? That night, we slept in bed and talked about it. He said, brother, I really want to study, and I know it's good to have a diploma. But now our family is too difficult and poor. My parents' greatest wish is to build a house. Why not save your money and build a house later? As he spoke, he cried and I cried. I said, you study first, and I'll earn the money for building a house. Later, he listened to my words, took part in the self-study exam, and got a formal college diploma. In 2007, Liu Zili came to Shenzhen to open a branch school. Since then, I have been in Guangdong, and I have successively completed major life events such as getting married and having children. My parents also feel quite happy now. They go back to their hometown during the Spring Festival and live in Guangzhou in cold weather, or go to Shanghai for a period of time and fly to three places a year. My parents also feel quite happy.

I think I am a person with a dream. College students in the 1980s really had an ideal generation. That year, my first job was assigned to Hefei Machinery Bureau of Anhui Province. I come from the countryside and work directly in government agencies, which is very good. At that time, local colleagues in Hefei said: Wow, you are great. You came out of the countryside and now you work here. Later, I also asked to go to the grassroots and go to the factory to exercise. Finally, I found that this was not the life I wanted, so I quit my job and didn't mention anything. This actually requires perseverance. Where did I go afterwards? I have been drifting north, and it is very hard to drift north in Beijing. I work in the Advertising Research Center of China Renmin University. When I work, I sleep on my desk in the library of Renmin University at night. Hearing the lyrics of Tayu Lo's "Lugang Town" on the radio: "Taipei is not my home, and there are no neon lights in my hometown", I suddenly burst into tears. But I think it's important to have dreams in life. No matter how hard the conditions are, I feel that I have great hope of living. Without dreams, it is not good.

People should have good thoughts.

I come from the countryside, and I still feel that there are many beautiful things in my heart. Why be kind? Because I still believe that "good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil." People should stay away from evil. I don't think people should do fake big empty things that don't serve everyone, and don't envy others. No matter how well they get along, you don't have to envy them. Only by doing things in a down-to-earth manner can you sleep at night. At my age, I feel very simple and happy.

People should do something meaningful.

Thousands of students come to Taiqi to study every year. We help students get into the ideal school smoothly, and even if they fail, they can learn new things in Taiqi. This will also help his life. I also met some classmates who said to me: President Liu, I didn't pass the exam, but I learned a lot. I'm still very grateful to Taqi. I think everyone will feel very happy if they find something meaningful to do. Our colleagues are very motivated because they think what they do is meaningful.

People should fear heaven.

Nature has heaven. For example, when I started my business, I was forced to set up the "Taiqi" company. I think God sent someone to help me. Although I hated him at that time, sometimes I really want to thank your enemies and your peers for forcing you or your leaders to criticize you. If Peking University hadn't expelled Yu, how could he have founded "New Oriental"? In the Bible, Yue Se was sold to Egypt as a slave by his brothers, and later he became the prime minister of Egypt. Egyptian harvest year after year, but Yue Se's hometown suffered year after year. My brothers in my hometown had to go to Egypt to buy food, which was recognized by Yue Se. Yue Se told his brother, "In the past, you meant to hurt me, but God's will was originally good, saving many lives and achieving today's situation." This is the wisdom of the Jews. Therefore, fear of the sky is also the principle I have always adhered to.

Accumulate bit by bit, and make society better.

Taiqi focuses on the postgraduate entrance examination, hoping to do better and help more people. As for how much money I can earn, I don't particularly care. In the future, we will continue to work hard on teachers and management team members. I hope that through our little efforts, this society will become better. I used to have a lot of complaints like many people. There are too many unfair things in this world. The more you know, the greater your disappointment. However, if we want this society to become better, we need to accumulate bit by bit. Little by little, have you changed? You can become better, in fact, this society has changed because you are a member of this society. Does it affect people, colleagues and employees around you? If you have a good influence, then society will certainly develop in a good direction.

I think that's what we did. I will be 50 years old for nothing next year. I feel very lucky. Confucius said that I knew my destiny at the age of 50, but I already knew my destiny before I was 50: I want to do a good job in education, achieve others and make society better. When I am really old, for example, when I am 80 years old, I will tell my grandchildren that you see that the society now is much better than before, and there are also strengths contributed by your grandfather and me. I think this life is meaningful and valuable!
