Golden Sun Parrot

The Golden Cone-tailed Parrot (scientific name: Guarubaguarouba), also known as the Golden Cone-tailed Parrot, the Golden Parakeet, and the Great Golden Yellow, is a parrot. Their bodies are mostly yellow, hence the name. However, they also have green flight feathers. They inhabit the drier upland rainforests of the Brazilian Amazon basin. They are threatened by deforestation and flooding, and illegal hunting has reduced their numbers in the wild.

Appearance: Adults have a golden-yellow coloration on the entire body, with golden hairs on the face, chest and abdomen with orange-reddish coloration, a black beak and beak, blue and green primary and secondary flight feathers on the wings, yellow and gray-black at the tips, an olive-green tail with blue tips, and gray-black feet.

Breeding environment:
