1. The most suitable time for onion planting is early September. Generally, it is planted by sowing, and the temperature needs to be controlled between 15 ~ 25℃. Choose mixed soil containing vermiculite, garden soil, sand and humus. Soak the seeds in hot water for 3-4 hours before sowing, and knead to remove the waxy layer.

2. When sowing onions, it is necessary to spread the seeds evenly in the soil, keep the seed spacing at 10 cm, fill a layer of fine stone sand with a thickness of 0.8 cm, compact the soil, and water it once in time, but not thoroughly, and then water it for the second time after the seeds germinate.

3. When fertilizing onions, wait until the plant height reaches 15 ~ 20cm, and then apply a small amount of decomposed compound fertilizer or farmyard manure. After the seeds grow for one month, they can be sown. Before planting, a small amount of decomposed fermented ring fertilizer or diluted cake fertilizer water can be added to the bottom of the soil.

4. Shading measures are needed in summer. When the weather is too hot, spray water on the leaves and around the onion to cool down. When the temperature is too low in winter, it is necessary to cover the soil surface with straw to keep it warm and moist. Every 3 ~ 4 months, loosen the soil for onions to reduce soil viscosity and avoid hardening.
