Sanya, called Cliff for short, was called Cliff State in ancient times, also called Lucheng. Sanya is adjacent to Lingshui County in the east, Ledong County in the west, Baoting County in the north and Nanhai in the south, with the latitude ranging from18 09 ′ 34 ″ north to18 37 ′ 27 ″ east to108 56 ′ 30 ″ east.

"Sanya" is called "Sanya" because Sanya River (formerly known as Linchuan Water) has two Sanya rivers in the east and west, which meet here in the shape of "Ya". Sanya has a long history, and there are records of "Sanya Village" and "Sanya Li" in Zheng Deqiong's Records of Taiwan in the Ming Dynasty.

Yazhou was one of the three southern counties established during Qin Shihuang's reign. Ling Zhen County was established in Sui Dynasty, and it was changed to Zhou Zhen in Tang Dynasty. Song Dynasty became the southernmost prefecture-level county in China. Sanya has been called "the ends of the earth" since ancient times because it is far away from the imperial capital and hangs alone overseas.

The first year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 1 10) was in China.

In the 31st year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1905), Shengyafu was Zhili prefecture, leading four counties: Wan 'an, Lingshui, Changhua and Thanksgiving.

In the second year of the Republic of China (19 12), Zhili prefecture was abandoned and Yaxian county was established.

Braised plum ginseng

The main ingredient of braised plum-blossom ginseng is water-soaked plum-blossom ginseng, and the main ingredients are rape and lark mushroom. Sweet and sour powder

There are many powder snacks in Sanya, but not much cold, among which sweet and sour powder is a common one. Slippery vermicelli is made of sweet potato powder. Several pieces of white and soft rice cakes and it constitute the main component of sweet and sour powder. The yellow pineapple pieces and the red shredded carrots set each other off. Of course, the sour taste of pineapple and the unique sweetness of carrot are better. Stir-fried peanuts, shredded pickles, and dried radish are used as auxiliary materials to make the sweet and sour powder more sweet and delicious. Cold gravy is a mixture of brown sugar water and rice vinegar.
