Feather fan is a traditional handicraft of Sanhe, an ancient water town in Feixi County under the jurisdiction of Hefei. There are many "molting" people in the surrounding areas of Sanhe, carrying peddlers' shoulders, shaking rattles and going door to door, exchanging candy department stores and needles for goose feathers, providing inexhaustible raw materials for the feather crafts industry of Sanhe. Goose feathers are divided into white goose feathers and goose goose feathers, which are especially precious because of their scarcity.

Feather fan is made of goose's wing hair, and its manufacturing processes include sorting, cleaning, airing, tying, threading, shaping, coloring, painting, decoration and packaging. The main varieties are big moon type, small moon type, big white yuan, small white yuan, small round fan, heart fan, Kongming fan and so on.
