Steam the glutinous rice first, add boiling water with melted rock sugar and stir well, the amount of rock sugar according to personal taste.
Place a layer of plastic wrap on the bottom of a large bowl and arrange the dates, dried apricots, raisins and hawthorn paste in a pattern.
After the dried fruits are arranged, cover the top with the mixed glutinous rice, flattening the surface.
Turn the large bowl of sticky rice upside down on a plate (it's protected by plastic wrap so the sticky rice won't stick to the bowl).
Now you know what the eight treasures rice will look like when it's done
Finally, put the plated eight treasures rice into the steamer and steam it for 30 minutes.

Secret tip: when you snap the eight treasures rice to the plate first put the plate over the mouth of the bowl, and it will be easy to flip it by pressing your hands together.
Comment: the flavor of the eight treasures of rice is so fragrant and sticky, drizzled with some honey before serving, it will be even more good-looking and flavorful.
