I read the story "Rape Rapunzel" in "The Grimm's Fairy Tales". It tells the story of a gluttonous queen who gave up her child for the sake of delicious lettuce. Because she promised the witch, if she ate the witch's lettuce, she would give her her own child. Rapunzel was imprisoned in a high tower by the witch. A prince heard Rapunzel's beautiful singing and heard the witch's words when she went up to the tower: "Rapunix, Rapunzel, please put down your long hair and let me climb up." The prince saw the beautiful girl Rapunzel and wanted to save her, but was later discovered by the witch. The witch cut off Rapunzel's beautiful long hair, tied it to a high tower, and drove away Rapunzel. The prince was so sad that he went around looking for Rapunzel and cried his eyes out. He searched for many years, and they finally met. Rapunzel's tears cured the prince's eyes, and then they got married and lived happily together.
This story tells us that a person cannot be too greedy, otherwise he will lose his beloved things like the queen. We must be like that prince, as long as we persist in working hard and never give up, we will definitely gain something.
