Records of epidemic prevention work by volunteers of the Federation

Mission accomplished! The joint emergency warehouse for donated materials for epidemic prevention and control is officially closed!

With the official information announced by the Hubei Charity Federation on March 25, our work in the Federation has also completed its phased mission!

After 61 days of work, I will record part of my work under the title "Record of the Epidemic Prevention Work of a Volunteer from Hubei Charity Federation"

I am a grass volunteer in Xiangyang, Hubei Province The volunteers of the association received the first rally call on January 21. Under the command of the president, we formed a 10-member special volunteer team overnight consisting of the president, vice president, and key personnel. There was no task , just to prepare in case.

At 10:30 in the evening on the second day of the Lunar New Year on January 26, I was celebrating the New Year at my sister’s house in Shiyan. I received a notification about the epidemic prevention work. With the consent of my family, I signed up without hesitation. As a volunteer, he joined the Hubei Charity Federation's epidemic prevention and control work, and joined the Hubei Charity Federation's epidemic prevention work group, waiting for the division of labor.

On January 27, after patient and meticulous online training by Charity Federation staff, I devoted myself to epidemic prevention and control work.

We come from different organizations and different places. We have the same purpose here, to do our best for epidemic prevention and control. I was assigned to the domestic material receiving team, mainly responsible for receiving Team leader Liu Wensi and teacher Zeng Hong are responsible for the domestic material docking work. We are divided into hotline team, front-end docking team, back-end docking team, distribution team, material team, and finally a verification team.

Every day, donations from all over the country pour into the General Assembly, the hotline rings constantly, and the tasks are severe and challenging. Since volunteers come from different positions and have different understandings of volunteer services, the docking of each donor is very difficult. It takes many iterations to complete, and many of them are unfinished. Ask someone to find out. Some of them have been working on the docking work for several days, but ended up not purchasing the materials. There are also some materials that did not meet the standards or were not qualified. Wan Jue, various donations include medical supplies needed for prevention and control, as well as many daily necessities. Donors do their best and do everything possible to collect various materials. As long as they can think of it, can purchase it, and can purchase it from their own property. Regardless of whether it is urgently needed for prevention and control, we all call the hotline and hope to donate. However, due to the spread of the epidemic, life safety and saving lives and saving people come first, so whether it is the type or quality of materials, Teacher Zeng talks about it every day to ensure quality. We We must be responsible to medical staff and volunteers. The materials that pass through our hands must be of high quality. We do not ask for more, but must be strictly reviewed. Human lives are at stake and no mistakes can be made. The lifeline of logistics should be reserved for the most needed materials, protective clothing. , the quality of masks is the guardian of life.

The working hours of volunteers are very long. It is normal for more than ten hours to be bombarded by mobile phones and computers, WeChat and phone calls. They are on the Internet all day long, from the time they open their eyes in the morning to I close my eyes at night and respond to various messages from donors all over the country around the clock, respond to the needs of the hospital, take time to process data, and organize donation information. My life is completely controlled by the Internet. When I pick up my job, the phone rings, and the whole family looks at me. I put down my chopsticks and left the table to talk for a long time. My family made the food hot again. Sometimes I feel so tired and sleepy. I take a nap and put my phone next to my pillow. As soon as I lie down, WeChat comes. I have to take my phone with me even when I go to the toilet. I thought I was neurotic, but one day a friend mentioned in the group that it turned out to be like this. I check my phone at any time, read messages at any time, and reply to messages at any time... I never leave my mobile phone.

The epidemic is getting worse. The work intensity and time were so great that many people couldn't bear it and chose to quit. The personnel were constantly adjusted...

I was in a hurry at the beginning and felt overwhelmed. I regretted signing up, but I looked at the donation information one by one. The number of volunteers increased, and I was too embarrassed to speak out, so I had to work hard silently. For a few days, my voice became hoarse, I had a headache and my brain was swollen, and I couldn't sleep. When I looked at my circle of friends, my phone was bombarded with messages from the Red Cross. I really couldn't stand it. I cried in bed, watching the medical staff getting infected one by one. It really hurt me. My husband was quarantined in Xinjiang. He changed the quarantine location several times for various reasons. He was emotionally unstable. My son and I were stuck at my eldest sister’s house because my son was allergic. , I felt unwell all over. I secretly took Fenbid every day for several days, otherwise I would get a headache and eye socket pain. I felt that I really couldn’t stand it any longer. A volunteer friend in the group asked me for leave to see a doctor, but he was diagnosed with infection. The hospital If I can’t live in, all I can do is to accompany and protect me on the other end of the phone...

I remember that night, I was extremely afraid. I was afraid that my negligence might cause me or my family to be infected. I was afraid of my negligence. The flow of counterfeit and inferior products has infected the doctor volunteers. I am afraid that my negligence will catch the thunder and damage the reputation of the Charity Federation. I am afraid that the donors will say, "You can just accept it. This is our little thought." I am afraid to hear it. We went to the hospital and said that we were in urgent need of medical supplies and we were going to run naked... After crying, I decided to quit, but when I spoke, I was embarrassed again.

My friends’ voices were hoarse, and people from all over the country Medical staff came to support Hubei, and material donations from all over the country covered Hubei. As a Hubei native, how could I have the nerve to quit?

Finally, I told Teacher Zeng that I didn’t want to be a team leader. Don’t let me be responsible for reviewing materials and controlling quality. My ability is limited. I can’t understand many professional materials. I’m really afraid of doing bad things with good intentions. ...

I am very grateful for her understanding. She said that during special events, no matter what the decision is, she will respect me. I recommended the candidate to her... Maybe it was because I cried and was released, maybe it was because I was not responsible for the review work. It should be said that I expressed my feelings and got understanding and support. I started to continue working and felt full of life. .

In the face of various sudden and urgent tasks, the team continues to improve standardization and efficiency, from Teacher Zeng’s greetings, guidance, and reminders at 8:30 every morning to 8:00 in the evening. Half, fixed training and Q&A in the group, and then a dialog box was opened in the group, with dedicated personnel on duty to answer questions and solve problems. The working methods have been continuously improved from training of new people to cooperation and follow-up with the old and new... From Teacher Shen's PPT process to Xing Hu Zai’s 26-page standardized and unified text process, with manuals and templates...

"The epidemic is an order, and epidemic prevention is the responsibility." "Viruses are ruthless, but people are affectionate." In this warm team, we Let’s work hard together. Come on Wuhan! Come on Hubei!

In the early days of the epidemic, supplies from all over the country were immediately hoped to be donated to Wuhan to help the hardest-hit areas.

However, since Wuhan was locked down on January 23, various places in Hubei Province have also announced lockdowns. Except for a few designated government-run charity organizations and individual private groups, most donated materials are not allowed to enter.

As one of the official channels, the Hubei Provincial Charity Federation system has unique advantages. It is not only spread across counties and cities, but also operates decentralized in normal times. In this special period, it has formed a gathering effect. , attracting a large number of companies, social organizations, and people to participate in anti-epidemic-related donations.

Due to the lockdown, in order to control the spread of the epidemic, the entire population is under lockdown. The quick arrival of donated materials gives one more hope of survival. The virus will not stop spreading due to the lockdown, nor will it slow down. In this battle against the virus, logistics is one of the biggest problems that plagues the arrival of donated materials. In this government-led anti-epidemic battle, the Charity Federation system, as a public welfare organization with government status, is the first to bear the brunt. Become one of the main channels for linkage between government and society.

Through the coordination between the Federation and local headquarters, we issued passes and acceptance letters to units that submitted letters of intent and passed the review. The donors took Shangfang’s sword and coordinated with the logistics company and transportation department. First Time to ship.

I remember that night it was announced that passes could be issued, and someone in the group cheered. The first pass I handled was from Chongqing Jiukouquan Co., Ltd., which contacted us on January 27 to donate disinfectant produced by their company. , but it just couldn’t be shipped, and the factory director was so worried that the goods were finally shipped. The factory director said that he could finally have a good sleep.

And Kangde Pharmaceutical began to connect donated drugs and funds. As a result, The funds were received, the information was complete, and the electronic donation certificate was immediately received. The manufacturer trusted the work of the federation very much and received the pass. It loaded a truck full of medicines with care for Wuhan, and transferred a total of 10 million urgently needed medicines for epidemic prevention in warehouses in various places. Yuan, all donated to the Wuhan Prevention and Control Headquarters, distributed to various designated epidemic prevention hospitals in Wuhan, and used in epidemic prevention work as soon as possible.

Due to the concentrated influx of materials from all over the country, the Federation has once again taken advantage of its official status. It is led by the Federation, with local linkages and information sharing. Every day we have friends from the allocation group, according to Collect and summarize demand lists from various places, guide donors in a scientific and orderly manner, and donate materials to the places where they are most needed.

For donated materials from other places, if they are not particularly urgently needed materials, we will guide the donors. Contact the local charity association and donate to the local area, which will use the materials in epidemic prevention work, reduce logistics costs, and most importantly, reduce the risk of the spread of epidemic infection! Many donors didn't understand that they just wanted to donate to Wuhan, and they just wanted to donate to the Charity Federation. The friend patiently explained that there are charity federations all over the country, and they are all owned by the same family. Wherever they are used for epidemic prevention work, they are all contributing to epidemic prevention!

With the control of the epidemic, the donation work has gradually decreased, and the focus of work has shifted from receiving donated materials to internal verification. Due to work needs, I have been transferred to the verification team, and I am mainly responsible for the review and collection of preliminary materials for the docking team. After sorting and standardizing, the data will be packaged and stored in the corporate network disk for auditing and archiving management.

In January, as all aspects of work gradually began, some information was incomplete and it was necessary to contact the donor. The first task of the verification team was to solve the old list. Due to the special circumstances at the time, some donations were unsuccessful and some were unsuccessful. The donations were waiting to be distributed. In order to complete the work accurately, I called back one by one. For those who did not receive it, I said on behalf of them: "Hubei Charity Federation is grateful for its understanding and support of the epidemic prevention work. Although the supplies have not been received, we have received full love." Received, thank you very much!” The donor who returned the visit was very excited.

I remember a lady in Shanghai said that the vegetables her father grew in her hometown wanted to donate to Hubei, but we only accepted materials urgently needed for epidemic prevention. The old man wanted to donate masks and protective clothing, but he couldn't buy them, so he was very anxious. Looking at Hubei, I feel very distressed! Hubei, hold on! Come on Hubei! I remember that although we were on both ends of the phone at that time, our hearts were with each other. From the tone of the phone, we both felt the sincerity of the other. Both of us were a little choked up and were about to burst into tears! In the old man's heart, Hubei is his child and a member of the family!

There are many such donors. When I called back, the other party said, just tell me whenever you need it. We can find a way without us. There are people from all over the country in Hubei. Hubei will be fine. Come on, Hubei!

The materials donated by a Chinese working in South Korea came to us after several rounds of turnover, but they were not accepted due to quality issues. They were finally donated to the local community and used as general protection in areas with less severe epidemics. The donor received us He called back and repeatedly apologized, saying that he did not understand, that he did not successfully donate to the hospital in Wuhan, and that he did not contribute to Wuhan. His regret made us deeply feel everyone's concern for the epidemic and support for Wuhan! Come on Hubei, come on Wuhan!

Our verification of information mainly includes 5 aspects: 1. Letter of Intent to Donate, 2. Certificate of Qualification, 3. Proof of Value, 4. Letter of Acceptance, 5. Proof of Process. Due to special circumstances in special periods, the information The greatest difficulty is to collect and unify standards, but in order to ensure the legality and compliance of the donation, the relevant information must be complete and valid. This is both fair to the donor and responsible to the country. The work is now gradually coming to an end.

Due to the initial shortage of protective clothing, there were not enough medical staff. Many medical staff did not eat or drink. In order to save protective clothing, go to the bathroom less, and save time to treat more patients, the most impressive thing was in Beijing. Because the donated energy bars were food and not urgently needed supplies, we did not receive them immediately. The person in charge of connecting with us carefully introduced the advantages of the product to us. As a result, when we arrived at the hospital, the medical staff welcomed them, which ensured nutrition. It also reduced the frequency of going to the bathroom, which was very needed under the special circumstances at that time. After learning the news, the Beijing company once again donated to several hospitals in Wuhan and surrounding areas, which solved the special difficulties at that time.

Donations require a donation receipt. At the same time, according to the value of the donation, the country will also have corresponding tax reduction and exemption policies. Especially for donations for epidemic prevention this time, the country’s tax reduction and exemption policy is particularly large. In order to ensure National interests are not exploited by a few unscrupulous merchants. It is also particularly important to strictly control the entrance. It is a basic requirement not to accept non-epidemic prevention materials. We will not accept any products that promote non-epidemic prevention. We will resist all kinds of pressure and rhetoric. Remember to donate. People say that we have long-term cooperation with the General Conference and have a good relationship with the leaders of the General Conference. After we declined, we had to say, I'm sorry, but if you have a good relationship with the leaders of the General Conference, in extraordinary times, you must consider the leaders and help them together. Do a good job in epidemic prevention.

During the 60 days of epidemic prevention work of the General Conference, I sincerely thank the leaders of the General Conference for their support. No one or one thing interceded or put pressure on me. There were no bureaucrats. The work in the General Conference was tiring. And happily,

On this special day, February 22, 2020, our little friend Duan Lei compiled and made a "Love Wuhan" poster from the collected work photos of our friends. We don’t know each other and have never met, but the epidemic prevention work has brought us together, and the Internet has allowed us to stay together, trust each other and support each other. We will meet and reunite in Wuhan. By then we will not need to wear masks, then we will We can see each other’s faces clearly and let’s walk around Wuhan and eat hot dry noodles together!
