The Heilongjiang Provincial Institute of Specialty Fish began the experimental study on artificial propagation of giant salamander in 1997, and the first artificial propagation was successful in 1999, with 490,000 fry hatched.
It is reported that bighead carp can be divided into three populations: one is the estuary population of Heilongjiang, the other is the river population of Heilongjiang, and the third is the freshwater population along the sea of Okhotsk and the sea of Japan. Estuary population has two ecotypes: fresh water and brackish water. Due to environmental pollution, soil erosion and other reasons, the natural distribution waters of giant salamander have become quite narrow. Almost all the giant salamander populations in China only inhabit the mainstream of Heilongjiang, and other places are almost extinct.

Feeding habits of bighead carp;
Dasypris is a kind of benthic carnivorous fish, and its young fish mainly feed on benthic invertebrates, small fish, shrimp and insects. /kloc-after 0/year, they mainly feed on fish. When the salmon went upstream in the lower reaches of Heilongjiang in China, Dasypris also swallowed a lot of salmon.
Bighead carp will not stop eating during the breeding season. Most artificially raised mandarin fish can eat artificial compound feed after domestication, with high feeding intensity and fast growth rate. The predation mode of ACIPENSER schrenckii is similar to that of ACIPENSER schrenckii, but it is more fierce and has strong active predation ability.
