Kaifeng belongs to Henan Province.

Kaifeng, referred to as Bian, was called Bianjing and Bianliang in ancient times. It was the ancient capital of eight dynasties and a prefecture-level city in Henan Province. Located in the central and eastern part of Henan Province, it is connected to Shangqiu to the east, Zhengzhou to the west, Xuchang and Zhoukou to the south, and faces Xinxiang across the Yellow River to the north.
