The inverted egg-shaped candleflower is different from the original variety in that the leaves are relatively small, showing the shape of an inverted egg, with a length of about 1.3 cm and a width of about 1 cm. Its top is blunt and round, with many teeth on the edge, and its bottom is wedge-shaped and gradually narrows. It is usually produced in the south of Guangdong, and mostly grows in the grass beside the road. This type specimen was collected from Lianhua Mountain in Yufeng.
Different from the original variety, the pink southern candle is in the color of flowers. Its flower color is reddish instead of white. When it blooms, it is reddish, which is particularly spectacular and beautiful, but its growing environment is particularly harsh. All of them grow in the bushes or rocks on the hillside, so this variety is particularly cold-resistant and heat-resistant, and it is easier to survive, and its value is also very considerable. It is often produced in Fenyi, Jiangxi, and Pingyang, Zhejiang, so different varieties are produced in different places, depending on what temperature conditions they are more suitable for survival. So for this reason, the varieties are different.
