The squid body ink, usually stored in the belly of the ink sac, is a "self-defense" powerful weapon. Encountered enemy attack, it will be from the ink sac out of a stream of ink, the surrounding seawater dyed black, but they take the opportunity to escape. Squid ink contains toxins, can be used to anesthetize the enemy into the squid ink sac stored in the cavity of the ink, it takes a long time to form. Therefore, not to the last resort of the critical situation, it is not free to cast "ink".
The vampire squid
The vampire squid is found in waters all over the world. The animals have black bodies, glowing eyes, and mouths that are supported by funnel-shaped wrists that act like umbrellas. Vampire gun squid live in dark places in the deep sea and have never been seen feeding. Their eyes may attract fish past the funnel-shaped structure and into their mouths.
Breeding
Before mating, the male gun squid changes its color to attract females and warn competitors. The male and female then face each other, arms entwined. Sometimes this results in the pair strangling to death. The male uses the transforming arms to reach into his mantle and search for the sperm packet - called a sperm packet - which he releases into the female's mantle, allowing the sperm to fertilize the female's eggs, which are usually placed on the seabed.
