Poet Du Fu wrote: "on the third day of the Third-month in the freshening weather, many beauties take the air by the Changan waterfront" when he described Yang Yuhuan, the favorite concubine of Xuanzong, and his sisters going out for an outing outside Chang 'an. The festival of March 3rd has gradually faded in people's lives.
