Consists of refractory powder, binder and additive. Almost all refractory raw materials can be made into powder for preparing refractory slurry. Ordinary refractory mud is made of refractory clinker powder and appropriate amount of plastic clay as binder and plasticizer, which has low strength at room temperature and high strength when ceramic bonding is formed at high temperature. The chemically bonded refractory slurry with hydraulic, pneumatic or thermal bonding materials as the bonding agent will undergo a certain chemical reaction and harden before it is lower than the bonding temperature of ceramics.

The particle size of refractory mud varies according to the use requirements, and its limit particle size is generally less than 65438±0mm, and some are less than 0.5mm or finer.

The selection of refractory slurry should be consistent with the material of masonry refractory products. Refractory slurry can be used as a protective layer of lining body by daubing or spraying besides caulking material.
