1. Use a big box to soak fresh osmanthus in mineral water (half a pound of fresh osmanthus). Take out the sweet-scented osmanthus and rinse it with mineral water several times to control the moisture, and manually sort out the dead flowers, peduncles, etc. Put it in the oven to dry, take it out and let it cool.
2. Remove the dead flowers and pedicels from the fresh osmanthus, wash them with clean water and control the moisture. Find a piece of clean gauze, pour the osmanthus on the gauze, and prepare to bake it in the microwave. Over medium heat, bake twice. The first time is 3 minutes. After cooling, bake the second time over medium heat for 2 minutes. This method has the best color and is suitable for old and tender ones.
3. Reminder: When drying osmanthus, be sure not to overdry it. Generally speaking, the color base of the osmanthus remains its original color during the entire drying process until it can be ground into powder by hand grinding.
